How to Apply
Step 1
Follow the link below to complete the Booking Form and pay initial deposit
Please make sure that you provide as much information as possible concerning your knowledge of the languages this will assist us in allocating you the appropriate class level and ensure you get the best possible experience during summer school
Please only complete the form once and allow up to 48 hours for Rosie, the Course Secretary, to contact you
Please use the Payment Information document below for guidance on how to pay an initial deposit of £150; please note that we cannot allocate a place until this is done
Step 2
Application Confirmation
You will receive confirmation from Rosie Nichols of receipt of application
Bursary applications to be sent to course Director (if required).
Step 3
Class Level Assigned
Classes assigned by our Director of Studies, Seb Nichols.
You will receive confirmation of your allocated room (please note that it may not be possible to prove en-suite accommodation; this will be allocated on the basis of need or access arrangements followed by first come, first served).
Step 4
Balance Payment Required
Balance of payment to be made by May 31st
Step 5
Letter from Director to Students
Final course information, including arrival information and timetable.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS YEAR, WE ARE OFFERING B&B ALTERNATIVES; IF YOU WOULD PREFER THIS OPTION TO FULL BOARD, THE COLLEGE OFFERS KITCHENS IN WHICH YOU COULD PREPARE YOUR OWN FOOD, AND ST. JOHN'S IS A 5-MINUTE WALK FROM DURHAM CITY CENTRE, WHICH OFFERS A HUGE RANGE OF SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS
The course fees, which include tuition, the full programme of afternoon sessions and evening lectures and all meals, are as follows:

PLEASE NOTE: For anyone wishing to stay extra nights at the college, B&B accommodation is available. Please contact St John’s College for more information.
