St John's College is located on South Bailey in the historic city centre, opposite Durham Cathedral. Made up of a combination of historic buildings and modern accommodation, many rooms enjoy a view of the Cathedral or look towards the River Wear on the other side. St John's has hosted Summer School for many years and provides a tranquil and comfortable setting to focus on expanding your knowledge and enjoy the opportunities for collaboration and growth that the Summer School offers. Your course fee includes your room and full board, including three hearty meals a day cooked by the College's excellent catering team, with hot drinks and cakes/biscuits provided at break times. The grounds or Library are great places to study during the afternoon free time, and the bar is open every evening to socialise with fellow students and tutors.
