Accommodation
St John's College is located on South Bailey in the historic city centre, opposite Durham Cathedral. Made up of a combination of historic buildings and modern accommodation, many rooms enjoy a view of the Cathedral or overlook the college gardens and over to the River Wear on the other side. St John's College has hosted the JACT Durham Greek and Latin Summer School for many years and provides a tranquil and comfortable setting for learners to focus on expanding their knowledge and enjoy the opportunities for collaboration and growth that the course offers.
The course fee includes your room and full board, including three hearty meals a day cooked by the College's excellent catering team, with hot drinks and cakes/biscuits provided at break times. The college gardens and your rooms (all of which are equipped with desks), are great places to study during the afternoon free time, and the bar is open every evening to socialise with fellow students and tutors.

Standard
As a university college, most accommodation at St. John's offers either single or double bed with a sink, storage and plenty of space; each corridor features at least one shared bathroom.

A limited number of en-suite rooms with attached bathrooms are available. These will be offered based on need rather than first-come, first-served, so please let us know if you have any access requirements.

Some shared accommodation is available at a reduced price. These rooms come equipped with a sink, but are not en-suite. please indicate on the form if you have anyone you would like to share with.

If you live locally, and would prefer to be non-residential, we offer either a lunch option or 3-meal option
